During the winter months it is quiet in the fibregarden. So there is time to weave. I have woven 2 pieces of fabric that I want later to use to make garments.
the first is with typha latifolia. I had 920m of thread for weft, as warp I used hand-spun flax. It is plain weave.
The second piece is with willowbarkfibres, 980m for the weft
again as warp hand-spun flax, also plain weave. There is some variation in colour in the willowyarns, I used this to weave some fine stripes.
